Bank CD Rates

The PNC Bank CD Rates vary depending on which type and maturity of the deposits. There are fixed rate CD’s, Ready Access CD’s, Callable CD’s, Variable Rate CD’s and Step Rate CD’s. The fixed rate CD’s have maturity terms from 7 days to 10 years. They are FDIC insured and for the 7 day to 89 day certificates require a $5,000 deposit. For CD’s over 90 days, only a deposit of $1,000 is required. For the 7 day to 29 days CD’s a bank representative must be contracted. The 1 month CD is currently at 0.20% APY. The 3 month CD is at 0.25% APY. The 6 month CD is at 0.50% APY. The 12 month CD is at 0.80% APY. The 18 month CD is at 0.90% APY. The 24 month CD is at 1.00% APY. The 36 month CD is at 1.25% APY. The 48 month CD is at 1.25% APY. The 60 month CD is at 1.55% APY. The 120 month CD is at 2.00% APY. The Ready Access CD’s only come in two maturity terms of 3 and 12 months. These are also FDIC insured and there is no early withdraw penalty after 7 days. The 3 month CD has a rate of 0.25% APY and the 12 month CD has a rate of 0.80% APY. The Callable CD’s are of 36 month and 60 moth terms. The rates are at 2.00 APY for the 36 months and the 60 month is at 2.75% APY. The 3 year callable CD is only activated for a call after 12 months and the 5 year CD is after 24 months. After the call the owner can withdraw the funds within 10 days of the call without penalty. Upon maturity, these CD’s will automatically be a 12 month Multiple Maturity CD. The 18 month CD with a variable rate is tied to the T-bills and will change quarterly.
