Philadelphia CD Rates

Principal Bank has a 33 month CD that has an APY of 2.73% for the best of the Philadelphia CD rates.  You need a minimum investment of $5,000 to enter this program and the term is 36 months.  It accepts nation wide funds but you should be aware this is a special offer that may not last long.  The next most favorable rate is Ally Bank with a rock bottom minimum deposit of $1.00.  Ally Bank pays 2.70% APY.   The next product to consider is ELoan.com with a 36 month CD paying an APY of 2.55%.  This has a relatively high minimum deposit of $10,000.  Eloan.com also accepts nationwide funds.

Also featuring is a 36 month CD from Allstate Bank, which offers a 2.50% APY on a $1,000 minimum investment.   IGObanking.com also pays a 2.50% APY with a minimum $1,000 deposit with a term of 36 months.  Bank of America has a smaller yield at 2.30% APY with a minimum of $10,000.   Smaller still, is Citibank which presents a 2.25% APY with a $10,000 minimum deposit for a 36 months CD.    With a minimum deposit of $8,000, USB Direct offers a 2.05% APY for a 36 month CD.

A minimum deposit of $2,500 provides a 2.00% APY with Ameriprise Bank, FSB.  It has a 36 month CD as well.  Doral Bank, FSB pays a 2.00% APY on a $1,000 minimum investment for 36 months CD.  Emigrant Direct offers an identical product.  State Farm Bank, FSB yields 1.88% APY with a $500. minimum.   HSBC Direct offers 1.60% APY with a small requirement of $10 deposit.  FNBO Direct pays a little less with 1.50%, however FNBO demands a minimum of $5,000. for the 36 month life of the CD.  Of all the bank CD rates surveyed, the two lowest yields were found at Capital One Direct Banking and E*Trade Bank, the former offering just 1.01% APY with a $5,000 minimum and the latter providing less than a percentage point, 0.75% on a $1,000 minimum deposit for a 36 month CD.  Although every Philadelphia CD rates options vary with deposit and yield, each institution requires a three-year commitment of funds.
