AmTrust CD Rates

AmTrust Bank was established in 1889 and is a member of the FDIC. The current AmTrust CD rates as of mid August 2009 are the following.

The 6 month CD has an interest rate of 1.095% with an APY of 1.10%. The 9 month CD has an interest rate of 1.144% with an APY of 1.15%. The 12 month CD has an interest rate of 1.243% with an APY of 1.25%. The 18 month CD has an interest rate of 1.341% with an APY of 1.35%. The 24 month CD has an interest rate of 1.489% with an APY of 1.50%. The 30 month CD has an interest rate of 0.748% with an APY of 0.75%. The 36 month CD has an interest rate of 1.735% with an APY of 1.750%. The 60 month CD has an interest rate of 0.748% with an APY of 0.75%.

To open a CD account, investors must make a minimum of $1000 deposits and money can be moved from different AmTrust accounts into a CD for investment online. This bank CD rates are competitive with the national average, except for the 30 and 60 month CD’s. Not sure what is happening there.

All of these CD have an automatic renewal into the same term CD. There is a seven day grace period after the maturity date for any changes the investor wishes to make including a withdraw. The interest is compounded daily on all of the CD’s and annuities are paid out monthly if that option is chosen.
